The proposed development prioritises habitat creation and the establishment of tree and shrub corridors along residential boundaries. These green corridors serve as vital wildlife habitats and effective screens. To enhance screening for houses southeast of Billsmore Green, a 4m-wide tree planting bed featuring Hornbeam or similar trees is planned. Additionally, the redesign of the clubhouse garden will incorporate shade trees and hedges.
JLR, in partnership with Land Rover Sport and Social Club, are committed to providing off-site habitat creation or restoration to compensate for any potential loss onsite. Any off-site compensation measures would be secured in agreement with the Council.
The proposed LED system for the artificial pitches is a down lighting luminaire, that will provide the optimum sports lighting solution, ensuring that light reaches the sports surface only and not into the sky or local area. The Sports and Social Club will work with the Council to ensure that suitable conditions are attached relating to lighting and timing of sports use.
